[ ] Depending on stores, nose wheel lifts 100-115 Kts
[ ] Take-off 115-130 Kts
[ ] Flaps up before 155 Kts
[ ] Gear Up before 185 Kts (gear takes approx 8 seconds)

BEST CLIMB SPEED

40,000 ft	mach .8
30,000 ft	mach .78
20,000 ft	mach .74

LANDING MINIMUM RUN

[ ] Gear Down below 185 Kts
[ ] Flaps Down
[ ] Hold 125-160 Kts
[ ] Final Approach 105-115 Kts
[ ] When sure of making field, close throttle
[ ] Apply wheel brakes intermittently at 1 sec intervals, holding for 2-3 seconds.

BELLY LANDING

[ ] Jettison External Load
[ ] Canopy Open or Jettisoned
[ ] Flaps Down
[ ] Speed Brakes Out
[ ] Gear Up
[ ] When landing is ensured Throttle OFF

WATER LANDING	(DITCHING)

Ditching is not recommended since all emergency survival equipment
is carried by the pilot: consequently, there is no advantage in riding the ship down.
However, if altitude is not sufficient for bail out and ditching is unavoidable, proceed
as follows

[ ] Follow Radio Distress Procedure
[ ] Jettison External Load
[ ] Gear Up
[ ] Speed Brakes in
[ ] Canopy Open
[ ] Throttle Off
[ ] Flaps Down
[ ] Make normal approach and flare out
[ ] Attempt to touch down at minimum flying speed

GENERAL NOTES

DROP TANKS

If totaliser shows fuel below 460 gals, then drop tanks are empty and may be jettisoned.

SPEED BRAKES

Deploying Speed Brakes at maximum speed will cause a strong nose up trim change, equivalent to a 3G pull-out. The Pilot must allow for this, particularly if G is already being applied in a turn.
